Abstract :
For the chemical reaction of μ+ mesons with H2 molecules to produce μH molecule leaving H+, the differential cross-section has been calculated for excited states of H2 and μH molecules using the distorted wave method. It is found that the calculated cross-sections are comparable with theoretical maximum ones where Kℓi, i=0,1,2,… are the wave numbers of relative motions of μ+ mesons in the field of different excited vibrational states of H2 molecules.
