Abstract :
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of problem solving training on Improvement interpersonal, social behavior and Self-efficacy in Learning Disabilities students. The subjects consisted of 30 boys and girls with LD, who were randomly selected from the Isfahan LD center. They were diagnosed LD Student by a diagnostics committee base on IQ, deviation of class mean and DSM-IV-TR checklist. The Test of Ambiguous Provocation Situations was administered to both groups before and after training. The subjects were randomly assigned to experimental (n=15) and control(n=15) groups. There were 11 boys and 4 girls in each group. The experimental group received 10 weekly sessions of cognitive intervention in social problem solving training method (SLAM, FAST), while the control group did not received anyintervention. The results of analysisof covariance showed that cognitive training significantly reduce the interpersonal conflicts in the experimental groups as compared with the control group (p < 0.0001).Also, the experimental group as compared with the control group showed that significant Improvement in Attribution (p < 0.001). The experimental group used more problem solving strategy than control group as well(p < 0.001). Also this group reduced Aggression and withdrawal (p < 0.001).
