A novel technique for the analysis of radial distribution systems

This paper presents a novel technique to obtain the solution of load flow in radially operated distribution networks, in which the loads can be represented by any model. This method is simple, easy to program and is based on the formation of a constant sparse upper triangular matrix, which is used to determine the bus voltages. Test results of IEEE 34 and IEEE 123 bus systems are given to illustrate the performance of the proposed method.
