Random Intercept and Random Slope 3-Levels Multilevel Models

In this paper, random intercept and random slope three-level multilevel model are estimated and compared with the traditional multiple regression approach. Simple and complex form at third level of the hierarchical model is presented and discussed with reference to application on a higher education data. The results showed a smaller variance of residuals under three-level model (both simple and complex) suggesting a better error control of level-1 residuals.
