Abstract :
A new constraint is proposed which specifies a Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) subspace to describe a collective rotational band in the yrare region. The ground- and S-bands of 164Er are calculated by using the gradient method under this constraint as an example, and it is shown that this method works well.
