Abstract :
The anomalous magnetic moments of constituent quarks are calculated in a model coupling the quarks to the flavor SU(3) octet of pseudoscalar mesons. The inclusion of K-mesons in the model increases the moment of the up-quark by about 50%, compared to the contribution from pions alone. The model correctly reproduces the charge radii of the mesons and of the neutron. Predictions are also made for the strange magnetic moment of the nucleon and for the radiative decay of the D∗(B∗)-meson.
