Finding the gluon distribution of the proton at low x from F2

We present a method to find the gluon distribution from the structure function F2 of the proton in the regime of low x. The leading order (LO) GLAP evolution equation are used to relate dF2d ln Q2 with gluon distribution G(x). The gluon distribution obtained by our method using F2 data from HERA is found to be in agreement with exact theoretical predictions.
