Abstract :
A novel way of investigating the Landau-Lifshitz model is formulated by relating it with a nonrelativistic version of the CP1 model using Diracʹs constrained hamiltonian analysis. The gauge invariant and gauge fixed sectors of this CP1 model govern, respectively, the dynamics and geometry of the Landau-Lifshitz model.
