Magnetic moment of 11Be

Magnetic moments of a neutron-halo nucleus, 11Be, are investigated. The neutron halo is found to reduce the meson exchange current (MEC) contributions to the magnetic moment of 11Be(12g.s.+). The calculated magnetic moment is found to be sensitive to the admixture of |10Be(2+) × d52:12+〉 configuration in 11Beg.s.. The measurement of the magnetic moment is highly recommended for the determination of the rate of the admixture of |10Be(2+) × d52:12+〉 configuration in 11Beg.s..
