Abstract :
Cranked Relativistic Mean Field (CRMF) theory is used to describe the superdeformed band recently observed in the A ∼ 80 mass region and assigned to the nucleus 83Sr. The calculated kinematic and dynamic moments of inertia, J(1) and J(2), are compared with experimental data and reasonable agreement is observed.
