Abstract
Contour plots relating empirical data to predictions of the Interacting Boson Model (IBM-1) are given for each stable nucleus in the Z = 50–82 major shell. The two-parameter version known as the Extended Consistent-Q Formalism (ECQF) is used, allowing trends and anomalies to be seen which have implications not only for other IBM versions but also for other collective models. This method indicates smooth parameter trends in most nuclei, intruder and sub-shell effects at Z = 64, an isolated anomaly in the N = 102 isotones, and wide-ranging anomalies in the PtOs region.
