Abstract
We calculate the probability for the emission of a pair of photinos by an electron moving in a background electromagnetic field. The rate of the process e → eγγ is estimated at different values of the field strength and electron energies. Comparing the cooling rate of some astrophysical objects via photino bremsstrahlung with another competing energy-loss mechanism we find new constraints on the selectron masses MeR = MeL ≥ 89.4 GeV.
