A new determination of the soft pomeron intercept

Using Regge theory at Born level and with eikonalized amplitudes we obtain for the pomeron intercept the values 1.104 and 1.122, respectively, from global fits to total cross section and ϱ-value data for p±p, π±p and K±p.
