Abstract :
We perform a detailed study of the decays of the heavier τ slepton (τ̃2) and τ-sneutrino (ν̃τ) in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We show that the decays into Higgs or gauge bosons, i.e. τ̃−2→τ̃−1+(h0,H0,A0 or Z0), τ̃−2→ν̃τ+(H− or W−), and ν̃τ→τ̃−1+(H+ or W+), can be very important due to the sizable τ Yukawa coupling and large mixing parameters of τ̃. Compared to the decays into fermions, such as τ̃−2→τ−+χ̃0i and τ̃−2→ντ+χ̃−j, these bosonic decay modes can have significantly different decay distributions. This could have an important influence on the search for τ̃2 and ν̃τ and the determination of the MSSM parameters at future colliders.
