Abstract :
ABSTRACT:Considering thatinmanyarid and semi-arid regionsof Iran, landof saltywaters andthere aremanyagriculturalplantsisdifficult. In order to test the germination characteristics herb naked pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) in 2012 was conducted in the laboratory of Azad University of Miandoub. In this study, two types separate experiments of seeds affected by salts (NaCl) and (NaNo3) and five salinity treatments, zero (control), 60, 120, 180 and 240 mMol at 25°C were conducted. Experiments were conducted based on a completely randomized design with three replications. There were8 cmdiameterPetri disheswith50 seeds. Research results showed that increasing salt levels from zero to 240 mMol decreased in traits were measured. So the minimum rate and speed of germination, seedling height and seedling dry weight were observed in NaCl and NaNo3 treatments of 240 mMol. Inthis studyit was foundthat theharmful effectsof s NaNo3saltmore than NaCl salton thetraitsmeasured. In general it can be concluded that salinity water has a significant effect on the germination of medicinal plant naked pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo).
