Faddeev–Jackiw approach to the noncommutativity

We apply the Faddeev–Jackiw (FJ) method to the open string in the D-brane background with a nonvanishing B-field. The reduced phase space was obtained directly by solving the mixed boundary conditions. The noncommutativity of coordinates along the D-brane was reproduced. Some ambiguities in the previous papers could be avoided by this method.
