Abstract :
An algorithm is proposed whereby any chaotic transformation τ (i.e., one merely possessing a dense orbit) can be modified slightly to τ in order to attain a desired target probability density function f . The algorithm can be used in practical examples such as controlling the long term population distribution of a species whose dynamics is described by a point transformation.
