Abstract :
The Mathews Radio Drum is explored as a multidimensional controller for music. The techniques can be applied to any three-dimensional spatial system. Some problems are examined regarding notation and interpretation of gestures with respect to composition, and the organization of hardware and software for real-time interactive performance.
