Abstract
The paper deals with the cellular automata models for the growth of diverse types of the inflorescences. Starting with the classic botanical classification of the inflorescences we design the models of inflorescences in two-dimensional cellular automata. The results of investigation prove that any inflorescence of any kind can be constructed in two-dimensional asynchronous cellular automaton of any cell which has not more than 9 neighbours and not more than 12 states; the number of the critical points when local transitions functions are transformed is bounded by three.
