Abstract
Discontinuous Galerkin spectral element method is used to solve the lattice Boltzmann equation (LBE) in the discrete velocity space. The triangular elements are adopted because of their flexibility to deal with complex geometries. The flow past a circular cylinder is simulated by the proposed scheme. The results are consistent with those obtained from the previous numerical methods and experiments.
