Using transportation solutions for a facility location problem

Location of a facility using transportation costs quite typically gets narrowed down to consideration of outbound costs only. When done seriously within industry, however, both inbound costs (i.e., supplier to facility) and outbound costs (i.e., facility to customer costs), are considered. This paper presents a formulation that leads to a solution to this important problem.
