Abstract
This paper presents a new approach to computer simulation of the production process for the optimization of production parameters. The dynamic model of the production process of a small factory toasting green coffee beans [1] has been used. This model incorporates all the operations to which the coffee is subjected, starting from loading it to the hopper at the beginning of the production process and ending with packing the final product into bags. The computer simulation allows one to follow the flow of the coffee in the real time of production, evaluates the cost of each operation separately and the final cost of production. On the bases of such a simulation, the process engineer can check and select the optimal parameters of the production process.
