Expert Line Balancing System (ELBS)

Among many different types of line balancing problems, this paper concentrates on balancing the work load among workers on continuous production lines or the assembly line. This paper describes a heuristic and tutorial method that is computerized into Expert Line Balancing System (ELBS) which will act like an expert in an interactive mode. This will produce a number of substations in each major operational step station, system cycle time, total number of stations in the system, total number of hours required to manufacture 1000 units, and the overall efficiency.
