In-process surface recognition of a CNC milling machine using the fuzzy nets method

An in-process surface recognition system (ISRS) was developed to measure surface roughness during end milling. It employs an intelligent hybrid software—Fuzzy-Nets In-Process Surface Recognition System (FISRS) and sensor testing hardware to assess the real time surface roughness of a workpiece to meet quality requirements.
