Abstract
This paperprovidesathoroughreviewofthecurrentstate-of-the-artwithinairlinedisruptionmanage-
ment ofresources,includingaircraft,crew,passengerandintegratedrecovery.Anoverviewofmodel
formulations oftheaircraftandcrewschedulingproblemsispresentedinordertoemphasizesimilarities
between solutionapproachesappliedtotheplanningandrecoveryproblems.Abriefoverviewofresearch
within schedulerobustnessinairlineschedulingisincludedinthereview,sincethisproactivemeasure
is anaturalcomplementtodisruptionmanagement.
