Abstract :
We consideradiscrete-timesingle-serverretrialqueuewithgeneralservicetimesandtwoclassesof
customers: transitandafixednumberofrecurrentcustomers.Afterservicecompletion,recurrentcus-
tomers alwaysreturntotheorbitandtransitcustomersleavethesystemsforever.Inthisworkwestudy
the influenceofrecurrentcustomers.Thisstructureappearsinmanyapplicationsoncomputerandcom-
munication networks,butalsohastheoreticalinterest.Theexplicitexpressionsofgeneratingfunctions
of thestationarydistributionoftheMarkovchainaregiven.Wealsoprovidethemainreliabilityindexes
and numericalexampleswiththeuseofdiscreteFouriertransforminversion.
