Abstract :
We considertheretrialqueuesinwhichthenumberofretrialsofeachcustomerislimitedbyafinite
number, say m. Ifacustomerfailstoentertheservicefacilityatthe mth retrial,thenthecustomerleaves
the systemforeverwithoutservice.Approximationformulaeforthedistributionsofqueuelengthprocess,
waiting timeandthenumberofretrialsmadebyacustomerduringhiswaitingtimearederivedbythe
approach inFredericksandReisner [10]. Somemonotonicitypropertiesarealsopresented.
