Convergence-Preserving Function Sequences and Uniform Convergence*

It is proved that the sequence Fs fk. of real functions converges to a continuous function uniformly on a closed interval wa, bx if and only if F is convergence-preserving on wa, bx, i.e., for each convergent sequence tk. the transformed sequence fk tk.. also converges.
