Steady vortex pairs in two phase shear flow of an ideal fluid

This study proves an existence of a steady vortex pairs in two phase shear flow in plane domain. The method was used is a variational principle in which a functional related to the kinetic energy can be maximised over the set where the vorticity being a rearrangement of a prescribed function.  2005 Elsevier Inc.
