Existence and Uniqueness for a Free Boundary Problem in Aluminum Electrolysis

We present a mathematical analysis of a free boundary problem arising from the thermoelectrical modelling of aluminum electrolytic cells. We introduce a weak formulation in a fixed domain and prove existence, regularity, and uniqueness of solution.
