Prediction of breakdown voltage of transformer oil from predischarge phenomena

Complex experimental studies of the discharge mechanism in transformer oil under positive lightning impulse were carried out using alternative diagnostic methods. An attempt to establish a connection between the macroscopic features of discharge and the breakdown voltage was made.
