Investigation of birds density and species diversity in Dez river margin

Birds are important as one of the constitutive components of natural ecosystems and natural green spaces and urban parks. In this study, birds were identified in 4 stations between Dez dam and tanzimi Dez dam in spring and summer of 2012. There were 45 species belonging to 29 families and 11 orders of birds. The highest frequency was in September with 1433 and lowest frequency was in June with 892 birds. Highest bird species number (totally 4 stations in two seasons) was in April and May with42 bird species. Lowest bird species number was in September with 32 species. In spring pigeons family was at first rank with 6 species and highest diversity and herons family was at second rank with 4 species and in summer , pigeons family was at first rank with 6 species has high diversity. Results analysis showed that totally the amount of all species diversity indices is higher in spring than summer for birds.
