Abstract :
Counter-currentflowlimitation(CCFL)isthedominantphenomenafordryoutinporousdebris,whichwouldbeformedduringasevereaccidentofanuclearpowerplant.SinceflowatCCFLinporousdebrisisfarawayfromnormaltwo-phaseflowinapipe,itisnotclearwhethertheinterfacialfrictionlawsinapipecanbeappliedtotheCCFLinporousdebris.Inthepresentexperimentalresearch,thevoidfractioninporousdebrisismeasuredsimultaneouslywiththedifferentialpressureandflowratesforgasandliquid.ThecombinationofthesesimultaneouslymeasureddatamakesitpossibletoestimatetheshearstressesandfrictionfactorsinaporousdebrisatCCFL.ItresultsthatthewallfrictionfactorestimatedislargerthantheErgunequationproposedforsingle-phaseflowinaporousbed.Furthermore,theinterfacialfrictionfactorestimatediswellcorrelatedbythetheoreticalcorrelationderivedherefromaforcebalanceforahypotheticalflowchannelinporousdebrisatCCFL.
