Abstract
ThispaperpresentsMC3D-REPOwhichisamultidimensionalcodedealingwithboiling–includingthepresenceofnon-condensablegases–inporousmedia.Useismadeofthethermalequilibriumhypothesisbetweencomponents,so,forreactorapplications,itcanonlybeusedforthepredictionofdryout.Validationsagainstanalyticalsolutionsforsimplifiedproblemsarepresented,aswellascomparisonswithtwodifferenttypesofexperiments.Thefirstonedealswiththecoolingofaheatedcontainerlocatedininitiallysaturatedsandandthesecondoneconcernsthecoolabilityofabedofheatedsteelballs.
