Abstract :
InthecontextofasevereaccidentinaPWRnuclearplant,theevaluationoftheleakagethroughthecontainmentwallremainsakeypointofthesafetyanalysis.Herewecalculatetheleakageofanairsteammixturethroughatraversingcracktakingintoaccountcondensation.A40htesthasbeenperformedonarepresentativeconcreteslabwithmeasurementsofcrackopeningsandflowrates.TheCAST3Mcodeenablesustosimulatethistestbymakingthermo-mechanicalcalculationsandcalculationoftheleakageflowrate.Thermo-mechanicalcalculationsprovidedataneededbytheleakagecalculationswhicharenotmeasurableintheexperiment.Thesearetheinternalcrackprofiles(variationoftheopeningwiththecurvilinearcoordinateofthecrackinsidetheconcreteslab).Thermo-mechanicalcalculationsaredifficulttoperformbecauseboundaryconditionsofthetestarecomplicated.Leakagecalculationsareperformedwithvarioushypothesesfortheinternalcracksprofiles.Acoefficientisappliedonthefrictionfactortotakeintoaccountadditionalcomplexityofthecrackgeometry.
