Abstract :
Thisworkisdevotedtosomerecentdevelopmentsinuncertaintyanalysisofthecomputercoderesponsesusedforaccidentmanagementproceduresinnuclearindustry.Theclassicalprobabilisticapproachtoevaluateuncertaintiesisrecalled.Inthiscase,thestatisticaltreatmentofthecoderesponsesisbasedontheuseoforderstatistics.Itprovidesdirectestimationsofrelevantstatisticalmeasuresforsafetystudies.However,thelackofknowledgeaboutuncertaintysourcescandeterioratethedecision-making.Torespecttherealstateofknowledge,asecondmodel,basedontheDempster–Shafertheoryisintroduced.Itallowstomixtheprobabilisticapproachwiththepossibilitytheorythatismoreappropriatewhenfewinformationisavailable.AnapplicationofbothmethodologiestotheuncertaintyanalysisofaLBLOCAtransient(LOFT-L2-5)isgiven.
