Abstract :
ABSTRACT:Inthisstudysourcewiseandoperationwiseenergyconsumptionforsoybeanproduction undercanal andpumpirrigationsystemconditionswereinvestigated.Alsoenergy andwater indicatorswereanalyzedtobetterunderstandthemaineffectsfromutilizationof different irrigationsystemsonwaterandenergy use.Forthesepurposesdatawerecollectedfrom125soybeanproducersinMazandaranprovinceofIran,usingafacetofacequestionnairemethod. Theresultsrevealedthatunderpumpandcanalirrigationconditionsthetotalenergyinput was36306.75and 16987.92MJ/haandenergyuseefficiencywas2.65and5.29, respectively.Thethreemajorenergyconsumer inputsunderpumpirrigation systemwere electricity,fertilizersanddieselfuel?whileincanalirrigationconditionstheywerefertilizers, dieselfuelandindirectenergy ofirrigation,respectively.On theotherhand,waterenergyuse efficiencywascalculatedas5.19and30.23for pumpandcanalirrigationconditions, respectively.Waterenergyratiounderpumpirrigationwasfoundtobe51.04%,fromwhich thesharesof directandindirectenergiesofirrigationwere44.02%and7.02%,respectively? whileundercanalirrigationconditionsitwasfoundtobe17.5%andthecontributionof directenergycomparedtoindirectenergyforirrigationwasrelativelylow.In ordertoreduce energy consumptionandimproveenergyuseefficiencyandwaterproductivity, itis suggestedtouse canal irrigationsystems,designsuitableschemesforhighirrigation efficiencyandtoimprovetheenergyuseefficiencyforof waterpumpingsystems.
