Abstract
Modelingmethodsforthereactorcoolantpumpsoftheexistingintegralfacilitiesarereviewedfromtheviewpointofscaling,single-andtwo-phasecharacteristics.AseriesofseparateeffecttestswasperformedforthepumpsoftheATLAS(AdvancedThermal-hydraulictestLoopforAccidentSimulation)inordertoobtainacompletesetofsingle-phasehomologouscurvesinallthequadrantoperatingregions.Besidesthefrictionlosstestsfortheshearedshaftandthelockedrotorconditionswereconductedtoextendthehomologouscurvestothelimitingcases.Amethodwhichcantakeintoaccountthetwo-phasedegradationeffectsoftheATLASpumpswassuggestedasafirstapproximationbasedonsimilarityprinciples.ThepresentdataandmodelcancompletelyreplacethepumpinputmodeloftheMARS3.1codebothforsingle-andtwo-phaseconditions.
