Studying narrative structure of one thousand and one night tales based on Labovs diamond- shaped model

ABSTRACT:Studying the narratives is systematic study of narratives that has entered in structuralize study of narratives since 1960. Theorists in these years analyzed the structure of the narratives and modeled the grammar or linguistics and selected a scope to study them and gained conclusions like them, William Labove, analyzed the critical oral anecdotes and found that hexahedron structure that is known as diamond-shaped structure. Stories in one thousand and one night tales caused it to have an atmosphere as oral story telling. So, we tried to adjust the structure of one of one thousand and one night tales to Labov’s diamond- shaped model. This adjustment shows that one thousand and one night tales have followed this model. In the other hand, importance of advice has been mentioned as the theme and main point of this book.
