Abstract :
ABSTRACT:In order to optimize the use of paddy fields as second cropping in the Mazandaran province, this study aimed to achieve the most appropriate cauliflower variety, compared with 8 new varieties of randomized complete block design with four replications was conducted during two years 2006 and 2007 in Dashtenaz agricultural research station of Sari. So prepare nursery and seed planting in September and was transferred to the main land in October. Analysis of variance showed that hah significant at 1% level of yield. Memphis andSpace star varieties had duration growth 130 and 120 days, and the highest yield 30 and 28 ton/hector. Arizona was the earliest variety with 100 day growing period, and 22 ton/ha yields in this study. Cauliflower crops have been good potential for 3 to 5 months period and recommended to paddy farmers in Mazandaran. The results show that cauliflower culture is possible in paddy land after harvesting rice and there is sufficient opportunities to prepare field next yearʹs rice crop. In addition to providing income for farmers in the fall and winter, also provides increasing the supply of land cultivated.
