An error estimator for a finite volume discretization of density driven flow in porous media Original Research Article

A theory of a posteriori error estimation for initial-value problems for nonlinear systems of partial differential equations is presented. The theoretical conclusions are applied to a specific problem arising in the theory of flows in porous media. The paper is finished by an instructive numerical example.
