Centered prescribed-order approximations with structured grids and resulting finite-volume schemes Original Research Article

A novel arbitrary-order discretization technique based on linear combinations of centered compact operators is outlined. Using finite-volume principle, prescribed-order differencing and interpolation formulas as well as multioperators difference schemes are constructed. Numerical examples showing that the schemes have potential for being extremely accurate are presented.
