Padé approximation of vector functions Original Research Article

In this paper, we present a new general formulation of Padé approximation which contains all the known generalizations. We also define a class of vector approximants depending on an integer parameter p. Each choice of p leads to a special Padé table. The connection between the approximants and quasiorthogonality is also studied. In particular, it will be proved that the parameter p characterizes the order of quasiorthogonality.
