The Navier-Stokes equations in the vorticity-velocity formulation: the two-dimensional case Original Research Article

In this paper, we propose a mixed method for the vorticity-velocity formulation of the Navier-Stokes equations in space dimension two, the unknowns being the vorticity and the velocity of the fluid. No boundary condition is required for the vorticity.
