Abstract :
In this paper we consider the MSOR iterative method to solve the linear system Ax = b where the coefficient matrix A has the Property A and is not assumed to be symmetric, obtain new estimations on the upper bound of the spectral radius of the MSOR iteration matrix, and give some further results on the convergence region of the MSOR iterative method when A is an H-matrix, or when A belongs to some subclasses of H-matrices, such as strictly or irreducibly diagonally dominant matrices, and certain matrices with norm greater than one, including, improving and extending the previous results.
