Thermal stability of oxide superconductors in flux flow state

Transport characteristics of Bi-2212 wire in flux-flow state were experimentally investigated under a cryocooled condition in high magnetic fields up to 14 T at various temperatures. The heat balance affected the thermal stability of oxide superconductors, and the oxide superconductor with large current capacity and large n value quenched at the current that was smaller than its critical current.
