Abstract :
Considering that various types of seed dormancy is used by most of pharmaceutical plantsto ecological adapt to environment, it is necessary to know germination affecting factors and provide the best situation for germination. Thus, this study was conducted (2011) in chaharmahal-o-Bakhtiari province located in west of Iran on seeds of four pharmaceutical plants included of Persian marjoram, ziziphora,wild tea and milfoil in a completely randomized design with three replications. Treatments were chemical stimulators including giberlic acid (100, 500 and 1000 ppm), potassium nitrate (0.2%), sulfuric acid (50 and 75 volume percent),thiourea(1M), and ethanol (75%), stratification, warm waterand control. Results showed that various treatments had significant effects on germination percentage of ziziphora, wild tea and milfoil but not significant effects on Persian marjoram.
