Challenge of relations between Iran and Russia about Caspian Sea

ABSTRACT: After the collapse of soviet union and fragmentation of this empire into 15 dependent countries, Iran got into a specific situation because of various occasions, i. e some of these countries border on Iran have deep cultural and historical sharing with Iran and also are contiguous to Caspian sea one of the districts for providing national gains along the years of neighboring with a group of these new self- Governed countries is around the border of Caspian sea and its mineral and maritime resources. Although in former era, the resources gained from this sea were at least equitably shared in conventions between Iran and Soviet Union, but after the defragment of Soviet Union and formation of independent countries in this zone which demanded for increasement of their share from Caspian sea, a crisis formed for using the advantages of this sea. International situations and consumptions order, countries power in political, military and economical sections and having the support of international powers are very important in regional bargains.In this research, with checking the international conditions, world and regional position of Iran, and especially the crucial state of Iran’s nuclear case and the need for having the support of Russia in united nation’s security Council. We tried to investigate the effect of this issue in Iran’s relent or exploit of its benefit in central Asia.
