The effect of strategy on the return on investment, profitability, and cash flow of the companies accepted in Tehranʹʹs stock exchange

ABSTRACT:Organizations must integrate and organize their measures and activities to achieve the objectives determined. For this purpose, the senior management considers a special operational plan (strategy) to achieve the integration and whereby realize the objectives of the organization. Hence, it can be said that the strategy of any organization is a key factor to achieve its desirable performance. So in this research, we examined the effect of strategy on the return on investment, profitability, and cash flow of the companies accepted in Tehranʹs stock exchange. Questionnaire withLikert spectrum was used to collect data and taking some criteria into account, 130 questionnaires were distributed among the sample chosen and after gathering and examining them, 126 questionnaires were accepted to be tested by SPSS Software. For this purpose, strategy was considered as the independent variable and any of the variables including return on investment, profitability and cash flow were considered as the dependent variables. Then, the effect of the independent variable on any of the dependent variables was measured using the linear regression method. The results obtained from the research show that strategy does not affect on the return on investment, profitability, and cash flow of the companies accepted in Tehranʹs stock exchange.
