Abstract :
ABSTRACT: A experiment was lay out in order to evaluate the effects of time cultivation and weeds control methods on yield and yield components of Red bean (Phaseoluscalcaratus L.) in, Islamic Azad University, Arak Branch, Arak, Iran. The experiment was a randomized complete block design with four replications at 2012-2013.The experimental factors were time of cultivation at day and night, weeds control methods in six levels of control (without weed control), once handing weeds control, application ofTreflan herbicide, application ofBentazon herbicide, application of Treflan + once handing weeds control and application ofBentazon + once handing weeds control. Results showed that Red bean yield was significantly higher in night cultivation condition compared to cultivation at day. In weeds control method treatments maximum grain yield and yield components achieved in application of Bentazon + once handing weeds control (H+B) treatment. However, maximum yield and it components was obtained in both night cultivation and application of Bentazon + once handing weeds control (H+B) treatment. Meanwhile, the lowest seed yield was reported with cultivation at day and application of any weeds control methods.
